Internet Explorer - "Working Offline"

Have you sometimes opened Internet Explorer and been surprised that your Home Page won't display? Or Google isn't automatically giving you a list of matches as you type into the Search Box? Next time this happens, look in the upper left of your Internet Explorer window - does it say "Working Offline" in parenthesis after the Window's Title? This means that, for some reason, your Internet connection isn't there.

Recheck your Internet connection - are you connected? Is your wireless connection working? Once you get that straightened out, click on the Tools drop-down arrow in the upper right side of the Internet Explorer window. Then click on 'Work Offline' (which shows with a green check mark) - that will 'unselect' it and get you back working on-line!

Printing Problems with Excel?

Have you set up a beautiful spreadsheet and then struggled to get it to print / fit correctly on your paper? You can try using the 'Set Print Area' option on the Page Set Up. Select the area of the Excel sheet that you want to fit onto your page then click on Set Print Area. Next - use Page Set Up to click on the button to Fit your page(s) 1 page wide by 'x' number of pages tall.

Experiment with these options and use 'Print Preview' to see how your Spreadsheet will look - before you print and use ink / paper!
